Setting, Backup, and Restore

The Settings page in R-wallet allows you to configure app settings, manage language preferences, set a passcode, and most importantly, backup and restore your wallet data. Here's how to use these features to protect and manage your app data.

Step 1: Access the Settings Page

  1. Go to the Settings Tab:

    • Tap on the Settings tab, usually located at the bottom or top-right of the screen.
  2. App Configurations:

    • In the Settings page, you can adjust various settings such as language preferences, app configurations, and passcode settings.

Step 2: Backup Your App Data

  1. Go to the Backup Section:

    • Inside the Settings page, navigate to the Backup section.
  2. Backup Your Data:

    • Tap on Backup to create a backup of all your wallets, tokens, and app configuration.
    • You will be prompted to set a password. This password will encrypt your backup file, ensuring that your data remains secure.
    • After setting the password, the backup will be encrypted and stored safely on your device or in iCloud Drive.
  3. Save Your Backup:

    • Choose the location to save the backup file. You can store it in your phone's storage or iCloud Drive for easy access later.
    • Tip: After each new version of the app is installed, it’s important to back up the app again and name the backup file with the version number of the app. This ensures that if an error occurs after the update, you can restore to the previous version.

Step 3: Restore Your Data

  1. Go to the Restore Section:

    • In the Settings page, tap on the Restore section.
  2. Select Your Backup File:

    • Choose the backup file you want to restore from the available options.
  3. Enter Your Password:

    • You will need to enter the password that was set during the backup process.
    • After entering the correct password, the app will restore all your wallet data, tokens, and app configurations from the backup file.
  4. Restore Process:

    • The app will fully restore the data, and you can continue using the app as before.
Important Tip

Always backup your app after each version update. Naming the backup file with the app version helps you restore specific versions and ensures that your data is protected and accessible in case of issues.

By following these steps, you can securely backup and restore your app data, and rollback to earlier versions if necessary.
